Job Description
A VFX heavy show is looking for an experienced Project Manager.
Project Manager responsibilities:
* Working closely with VFX Supervisor and Producer during development and pre-production, all the way to post.
* Act as a central point of contact between the VFX Supervisor and Producer and the VFX internal team, as well as between the departments within the projects.
* In collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and Producer, establish a production plan and schedule for the multiple shows and ensure prioritization of resources.
* Keeping track of the planned schedules and milestones and communicating any changes
* Assign daily work tasks to VFX coordinators and VFX editors, track progress of the project using Shotgun, and ensure work is running smoothly and that it is meeting with the Supervisors and Producer requests.
* Manage VFX vendors, track their progress and make sure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Qualifications :
* 3+ years of VFX experience required, specifically as a project manager
* Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively and can think fast and make decisions
* Attention to detail and constantly looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies within the project.
* Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
* Proficient user of Shotgun and Microsoft Excel.
* High level of organization and follow-through skills, while remaining flexible
* Natural team worker.
The role:
The applicant should be well established in the VFX industry with 3-5 years experience as a VFX Project Manager. A strong understanding of VFX workflow and scheduling is required. You must excel at managing multiple projects in a high-speed, high-performance environment.
