Job Description
A VFX heavy show is looking for an experienced coordinator
Coordinator responsibilities:
Note taking for reviews and development meetings
Shotgun entry & basic upkeep
Prepping turnover materials and assisting with pull orders
Communicating with vendors about shot direction, notes, deliveries
Managing the transfer of materials and deliveries through FTP, Aspera, Box, etc.
Organizing DPX deliveries and drop-ins for individual episodes
Working with other production departments for purposes of promos, marketing, art dept needs, etc.
Maintaining thorough delivery logs and organization of media
Will be responsible for managing supervisor requests
Responsible for updating all calendars with all post schedule changes
Qualifications :
Shotgun experience required
Data I.O. experience a plus
2+ years coordinating in a VFX environment
Basic understanding of VFX pipeline and lingo
Experience with Aspera, FTP, etc.
Typing speed of at least 60 wpm
Familiarity with post production workflow, delivery/media formats, EDLs, and project files
Proficiency in Excel, Acrobat, Photoshop
Familiar with Premiere/Avid/After Effects/Media Encoder are pluses
Candidate should be fluent with Mac and Windows
Must be extremely organized and good with time management
The role:
Can require long hours and demands a lot of multitasking. When approaching deadline, we need someone dependable, including on the occasional weekend. Our ideal candidate will jump in and make his or herself as useful as possible, anticipating project needs and taking initiative to fill them. This person is responsible and can be relied on to complete work, sometimes remotely. Will work closely with the producer and other coordinators to manage reviews and delivery of all VFX work from multiple vendors, start to finish. We want someone who is eager to learn, resourceful, and who will embrace the opportunities that the job has to offer.
*Please note that this is not an entry-level position and only experienced applicants will be considered. Must be in LA.
