CBS Studios is one of the industry's leading suppliers of programming with more than 70 series currently in production across broadcast and cable networks, streaming services and other emerging platforms.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, organized, proactive and curious individual to join our Contract Administration team. The Administrator will work closely with various departments including Legal, Business Affairs, Production, Casting, Labor Relations, Current, and Creative to administer the contractual obligations of all above-the-line talent. The candidate is someone who is eager to learn and understands the importance of minuscule details.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sends out all start paperwork
• Generates A-T-L payment schedules
• Generates episodic writer & director agreements on all assigned series
• Generates option pick up & start date notices
• Generates Notice of Tentative Writing Credits
• Creates and maintains show files
• Sends out pertinent documentation & maintains charts in connection with the BCS, CBS anti-harassment, NOE for all assigned series/pilots
• Maintains informational charts for all assigned series
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 1-3 years of experience in business and legal affairs, production payroll and/or contract administration at a major studio or agency
• Ability to read and understand contracts and terms of payment
• Ability to work effectively and communicate with multiple internal and external groups
• Organization and time-management skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft 360 - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to effectively interact with a range of personalities and styles to establish and maintain relationships with various departments at ViacomCBS
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to work well under pressure with many changing deadlines
• Be a proactive contributor who can work both independently and collaboratively to balance multiple priorities at a time
• Have phenomenal communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
