The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a group providing technical support for mission critical systems required for the broadcast of live and pre-recorded events within a metropolitan news bureau. Candidate will provide both on-demand and preventative maintenance, as well as technical guidance.
You will also provide support to our editorial and production teams. Focus will be on studio, control room, audio room, edit rooms, plant infrastructure, and transmission facilities.
Qualifications:
Must be knowledgeable in all areas of technical production, repair, configuration, and operation of studio production equipment including audio, video, routing, video servers, Storage Area Networks, RF systems, editing, and post-production systems.
Detailed understanding of SMPTE 2110, IT networking and systems, firewalls, fiberoptics, MPEG, SAN and RAID based systems, TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, and Active Directory.
Knowledge of Evertz EXE IP router (or equivalent) mandatory.
Understanding of broadcast television and streaming technologies from studio and post-production to master control and distribution.
Understanding of live production- from both studio and remote perspectives is desirable.
Minimum 7-10 years experience as broadcast engineer in a professional broadcast facility or equivalent knowledge.
Must be able to work calmly under extremely high pressure in a very deadline driven environment.?
Applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule- including evenings, weekends and holidays as the news stories demand.
Excellent writing and verbal skills as you will be communicating with both technical and non-technical personnel.??
