CBS News is seeking a hard-working, aggressive, and tech-savvy Associate Producer for the CBS Weekend News.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, writing and video production skills. They are curious, composed and constantly looking for ways to innovate – and possess a relentless attention to detail and knowledge in AP style.
In addition to duties at the CBS Weekend News, the successful candidate will split their week at the CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell as a researcher.
SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist producers and correspondents with research under strict deadlines
• Pitch, write, produce and edit original videos for our broadcast & social platforms
• Produce with an editor broadcast's headlines, VO's and teases
• Exercise editorial judgement in selection of content
• Assist senior producers in control room duties
• Coordinate feed and newsgathering, as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required
Previous experience in TV News
Must be willing to work every weekend – as well as other shifts, as needed
