CBS This Morning is seeking a smart, creative, and enterprising overnight Associate Producer with solid writing experience and strong research abilities. This person will have a firm command of journalistic standards, a keen attention to detail, and excellent newsgathering skills. They must also be calm and efficient during breaking news and a collaborative member of the newsroom.
This role is responsible for producing day-of-air packages and correspondent two-ways. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-profile guests and reporters. They must also have a strong mastery of conceptualizing visual graphics and creative scripting that works for both television and digital.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 4 years TV news experience
• Strong editorial judgement and excellent writing skills
• Ability to prepare copy and packages for air
• Understanding of newsgathering and transmission technology
• Exercise editorial judgment and pitch late breaking developments
• Must be willing and able to work a Sunday through Thursday overnight schedule
