Full Time Paid Internship
MaxPreps is seeking a talented Software Engineering Intern to work on our web applications on our engineering team. This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of the sports industry while working on the leader of high school sports apps. We are looking for an intern interested in demonstrating their abilities to convert into a full time role. We are looking for engineers who are strong with JavaScript and familiar with React.js and Node.js, however, we are seeking the best and brightest engineers to work alongside a small team and make a strong impact, regardless of their experience. We have high profile web applications that we would like the intern to take responsibility for revamping entirely in React.js, including our MaxPreps - Tour of Champions and MaxPreps - Rivalry Series pages, which would allow the engineer to finish the internship with strong projects to add to their portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Develop modern web products consistent with product requirement specifications, utilizing React.js
• Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
• We are heavily focused on advancing our products and services, and looking for an engineer that is driven to make an impact and help us learn and grow the product, utilizing modern techniques and services
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
• Experience with JavaScript, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, and ES6
• Experience with web technologies (HTML/CSS)
• Familiar with React.js
• Debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and techniques
• Currently working towards an undergraduate/graduate in Computer Science, Engineering or related software engineering field
• Experience with the following technologies a plus but not required:
• Node.js
• C#
• ASP.NET
• SQL
• AWS
Additional Requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be at least 18 years old
