Role Details:
The QA Engineer Intern will be primarily responsible for assisting the Comicbook tech team in writing high level automated tests. You will work with the team to discover how the website works and building out automated tests to ensure it works as expected. This role will have a big impact on improving the overall quality of the website and helping the team find issues before we launch to production which will greatly improve the overall product.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Discover the wide range of products on both sites and how they are expected to work
• Build automated tests to integrate into our code pipelines
• Report on problems and work with engineers to get them fixed
• Assist the team in manual QA efforts for code deployments
• Document product functionality
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
What you bring to the team:
You have –
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Familiar with GIT or similar source control tools
• Experience with RESTful apis, and Bash Shell scripting
• Experience with Javascript
• Familiar with HTML and CSS
• Familiar with container technologies, like Docker
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and convey technical ideas to a varied technical audience
• Passion for testing and standards quality
You might also have –
• Experience with a server-side language such as PHP, C#, or .NET
• Experience with working on a high-traffic, high-performing website
• Familiar with Github
• Experience using VS Code
• Experience with Postman
• Worked in a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP before
Additional requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be at least 18 years old
