Full Time Paid Internship
This position is responsible for helping to build the territory's advertising revenue by supporting the Sales teams through telephone sales. We will help you develop and maintain a strong understanding of all CBS Interactive. The position will continually prospect for new clients and pass qualified leads to the assigned Account Managers and Account Executives.
Responsibilities
for this role :
• Prospect new clients across CBS Interactive platforms and sites
• Support Account Managers and Account Executives sale teams across all needs
• Maintain organized database of prospects and call activity
• Qualify potential advertiser and when appropriate coordinate meetings between outside sales person and clients
• Accurate and timely communication to manager of all relevant information regarding revenue and/or advertiser relationships
• Produce a high volume of outbound telephone calls and emails to advertising prospects
• Close business on select programs
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to develop a career in Internet Advertising sales. They will have demonstrated experience with team concepts and leadership positions. They will be familiar with the Internet and understand how the web is impacting marketplaces and companies' business models. They will demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally.

• Strong communication and verbal skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage stress well
• Demonstrates outstanding telephone skills with the skill of selling strategically and communicating efficiently both internally and externally
• High Energy and desire to begin in Media Sales
Additional Requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be at least 18 years old
