Full Time Paid Internship
The CBS Interactive HR Coordinator intern is a key member of our dynamic CBSi Talent Operations team. This position supports the Manager, Operations in delivering 1st class commercial and practical support to our various digital media client groups, including CNET, Chowhound, GameSpot, Metacritic.com and other premier brands.
As a team, our goal is to improve the employee experience, enable HR focus through scale and reliability, and provide an efficient platform for delivery of key HR programs and services. To achieve these objectives, this role requires a combination of customer service, systems thinking, project management, data analysis, and collaboration across a broad range of functions. This role covers a variety of complex activities in the delivery of HR in accordance with employment law, Company Policies & Procedures, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Support client groups and HR Business Partners by administering key HR functions:
• On-boarding and off-boarding
• New hire orientation
• Leaves of absence
• Benefits
• Payroll
• Workers' Compensation
• Systems support
• Be a policy expert in order to effectively counsel employees and direct their inquiries
• Provide top-notch customer service and support
• Provide thought leadership in the development and streamlining of HR operational processes
• Own, analyze, and report on various types of HR-related data using HRIS and other internal systems
• Support other HR projects/processes as needed
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
Required:
• Working towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent training and experience) in Human Resources, Psychology or related major
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong desire to learn and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and integrity
• Ability to think proactively and analytically
• Resourcefulness and self-sufficiency
• Strong analytical experience with the ability to transform findings into actions
• Confident and diplomatic; can work with clients at all levels of the organization
• Intermediate or above Excel ability
Preferred:
• Oracle experience a plus
Additional requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or bootcamp
• Must be at least 18 years old
