Full Time Paid Internship
CBS Corporation recognizes the hard work and dedication it takes to serve our country. We value the skills you developed during your time in the military – leadership, problem solving, teamwork and attention to detail, to name a few. These same qualities are essential to our success as a company. We are committed to fostering an environment that attracts and embraces the brightest minds. We work toward creating a culture that welcomes a diversity of ideas and perspectives while encouraging growth.
CBS Corporation is launching its Summer 2019 Veteran Internship Program for qualified college Veteran students who are enrolled full-time in an accredited university.
Through this initiative, we are committed to supporting the career development of our veterans by offering hands-on experience, career-building workshops, professional development courses and the opportunity to network with the best in our business. Although the following internships (listed below) are based in various departments, the program will be coordinated so participants take part in all of the aforementioned learning opportunities.
CBS TV Stations – Sacramento, CA
CBS has an exciting opportunity for a student to participate in our paid Summer internship program! The CBS Internship Program is designed to be a learning experience for the intern, from both an educational and training perspective. The intern will observe and work under the close supervision of designated CBS employees, who will monitor and provide regular feedback on the individuals work and activities. As appropriate, the intern will be invited to participate in various departmental activities and programs.
Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in college with a minimum sophomore class standing. Applicants must have successfully completed journalism, communications, or television production courses.
Candidates cannot participate in an internship at another TV news station while interning at either CBS Sacramento or Good Day Sacramento.
While this is a paid internship, you need to receive college credit for the hours you'll work. To ensure acceptance into our program, we highly recommend that you register for your mandatory internship or work study course at any area college as soon as possible. Typically, those courses fill quickly.
