Full Time Paid Internship
CBS is currently seeking an intern to support Diversity & Inclusion, CBS Corporation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist community outreach with efforts by managing special events for various groups and by attending career fairs, workshops, and hosting visits for schools
• Support employee engagement in volunteering events, mentoring, and informational forums
• Strengthen the dialogue across the corporation around the topics of Diversity and Inclusion
• Assist in building bridges between divisions, corporate groups, and employee resource groups
• Create PowerPoint presentations that report the monthly activity of the department
• Update social media platforms on Diversity events (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
• Coordinate logistics for events, manage RSVP lists, work with facilities and operations
• Maintain excel grid of current employee resource group members
• Assist department with special projects as delegated
• Assist in the Diversity Council by supporting the scholarship program, and coordinating speaker series at the paired school
• Represent the department at various events through attendance, networking, and public- speaking
• Archive all events and diversity projects, both physical and digital files
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in a fully accredited University or College
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Experienced using social media platforms
• Excellent time management skills/ deadlines
• Strong communication skills (written, editorial, & verbal)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to work well under pressure; multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
• Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
