Search for Director of Labor Relations jobs in Burbank-CA
Provide Labor Relations subject matter expertise by analyzing Collective Bargaining Agreements to develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of the respective contracts. Assist in the development of overall company and departmental procedures and recommend improvements or changes to further optimize operations. Plan, organize, and direct a wide range of training activities for the payroll staff with the payroll management staff. Assist and follow up with ongoing and new clients. Assist with various project initiatives, providing labor relations expertise and guidance. Maintain and develop further knowledge of all industry unions and guilds contracts as well as the history of those collective bargaining agreements.
Essential Functions
• Address Labor Relations issues from Clients (external and internal) and Business Agents
• Analyzing Collective Bargaining Agreements to develop interpretation of intent, spirit and terms of contract
• Contribute/Assist with payroll system HTG/Start+ set-up/rules related to CBA terms and conditions
• Contribute/Assist with payroll system set up of ScaleT
• Assist in the development of overall procedures, including recommending improvements or changes
• Work with The Learning Team to help deliver training activities for the payroll staff
• Assist with/Contribute to new projects/initiatives as directed, including HTG, GTN, Start+, Hours+
• Address questions from the Labor Relations department and quality check contract setup and audits as needed
• Review and address any documentation from the AMPTP and/or other unions or guilds

Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in Entertainment Industry
• Labor Law Knowledge specific to Entertainment Industry
Special Working Conditions
• May require travel to exterior office
• May require some weekend work

• SEDENTARY - Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
