Position Summary:
This position will assist with all aspects of sports consulting programs and event executions. Specifically, this person will be an integral team member supporting the CAA executive account lead and account executive on a client with a long-term partnership across Toronto sports franchises. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to support a team across various CAA offices. The position will include event and hospitality management, strategic sponsorship support, preparation of proposals and presentations, daily account management support, onsite event support and post event wrap up and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
and Duties:
• Ability to support team members across various CAA offices
• Assist account manager with day-to-day activities and serve as the Toronto based support on multiple projects
• Assist with curation of unique VIP hospitality event programming for client throughout the year
• Able to multi-task planning multiple events at the same time
• Adhere to workback schedules and event run of shows to provide timely support and execution
• Participate in weekly calls and share concise follow up notes
• Communicate effectively with all levels of client and client partners
• Support in the develop of client presentations/proposals and other briefing documents
• Conduct site visits and develop site visit recap reports for team throughout Toronto area
• Onsite event responsibilities may include managing registration, overseeing venue and vendor setup, managing guest gifting operations and logistics, etc.
• Day-to-day client interaction and status updates via phone, email, etc.
• Preparation of detailed event wrap ups and reconciliation
• Tracking of relevant Toronto sports franchise and local news/trends
• Travel to events, meetings and site visits as needed (Approximately 15/year) - most will be local to the greater Toronto area, but some include US based travel
• Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or at least three years of relevant experience
• Has a background working in sports or has significant knowledge of Toronto sports franchises
• Has strong knowledge of the Toronto area including venues, restaurants, vendors and more and can make strategic recommendations
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while supporting multiple workstreams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer skills including word processing, PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent customer service and business writing abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure independently and as part of a team
• Ability to anticipate needs and think critically in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule to allow for travel and work during events
