Freelance Job
BuzzFeed's Social Publishing team is looking for a social-media savvy Freelance Video Curator with a curious mind and wide range of interests to assist in our day-to-day video curation efforts. This position will collaborate closely with social and editorial leads and will focus on creating posts on all-things trending and viral: videos already trending on reddit, late night clips, trending celeb videos, videos that aren't trending yet but have the potential to produce high volume traffic, BuzzFeed's own viral videos and more. Applicants must have prior video curation experience, knowledge of what makes a good source, and be familiar with the BuzzFeed Video voice.
The ideal candidate should also be able to understand and summarize how and why certain videos blow up - where did they take off, what makes them special, why are they worth writing about? They will use data to identify trends and will deliver feedback to editorial teams on performance successes to help inform future content decisions.
All applicants must create a profile on BuzzFeed and publish a number of video posts that show off your internet chops and writing prowess. How well do you get the BuzzFeed voice and style?
