Job Summary:
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada (WDSMPC) has a Toronto-based Marketing group as part of WDSMP Canada. This opportunity will involve establishing a heightened marketing and brand presence for Disney's roster of content, including Disney and theatrical releases, from the Disney family of brands: Walt Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, 20th Century Studio and Star titles within Canada. We are seeking a Manager, Marketing - National Partnerships who can lead the studio content national partnerships to maximize our reach through national programs in Canada all while collaborating effectively with U.S. based functional groups.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the national promotions' strategy and execution for Canada for all studio brands.
• Pitch and build national promotions specific for the Canadian marketplace with strategic partnerships.
• Initiate and steer corporate synergy partnership opportunities to ensure complete Disney optimization and expand department's marketing approach.
• Liaise with key counterparts and teams in Canada and the U.S. to ensure complete Canadian market coverage across a total marketing landscape
• Build integrated marketing programs with other areas within the WDSMPC marketing team to ensure a unified and efficient campaign that maximizes the marketing reach in Canada
• Leverage Disney owned social outlets and experiential marketing strategy and activations to maximize all promotional opportunities
• Manage special projects as directed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of marketing experience, preferably within the content / entertainment industries
• Excellent established relationships and experience with partners and solid knowledge of the Canadian industry landscape
• Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint/Keynote
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under pressure & meet deadlines all with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational, presentation and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both local and remote stakeholders
• Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm for film, the entertainment industry, the arts and pop culture in general
• Experience in accounting and/or financial analysis/experience is also an asset
• Enthusiastic, hard working with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Required Education
• Undergraduate degree in Marketing/Business or equivalent
