Overview
Buddha Jones is a fast-paced entertainment marketing company located in the heart of Hollywood. We are looking for an exceptionally driven individual to join team to help support our Producers create groundbreaking content.
The Associate Producer is the right hand of the Creative Director/Producer working in lock step on all projects and communicating with all support departments. The Associate Producer will work with the Creative Director/Producer and be responsible for the production and management of Theatrical A/V projects. Must have high level of knowledge of creative and production workflow and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Creative Director/Producer in all areas and phases of an audio-visual campaign - from big picture thinking to the smallest housekeeping detail, and everything in between.
• Participate in client calls, write detailed notes of feedback / direction and delegate that information in a clear and efficient manner. Be the point of contact with the client when the Creative Director/Producer is unavailable.
• Participate in concept development and pitch processes.
• Facilitate communication with all internal departments (music, graphics, editors, AEs, etc.)
• Monitor individual and team progress and report project status to Creative Director/Producer on a regular basis.
• Independently and proactively work to ensure projects are moving forward as efficiently as possible by doling out revisions to editors, giving feedback to stakeholders, or sending deliverables upon Creative Director/Producers request.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director/Producer to provide motivation, develop creativity, and build team cohesion.
• Troubleshoot with the Creative Director/Producer to solve creative or workflow issues.
• Responsible for monitoring the accuracy and completion of any phase of the creative process assigned by the Creative Director/Producer, such as asset gathering, graphic creation and approvals, writing, music, offline/online editorial, and final deliverables.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience in theatrical marketing, working alongside a Creative Director/Producer, running multiple campaigns from start to finish.
• Familiarity with all aspects of A/V marketing including working with producers, editors, AEs, writers, graphics, coordinators, etc.
• Familiarity with finishing process including preps, in house mixes, online, deliverables, etc.
• The ability to communicate with all teams in unique ways with various personality types.
• Able to ensure quality control while tracking a high volume of assets and deliverables.
• Strong creative instincts with solid storytelling skills.
• Highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks while being able to be present and laser-focused on the task at hand.
• An ability to interpret and execute client notes using critical thinking while maintaining integrity of work.
• A commitment to individual growth and investment in company culture and growth in an ever-evolving industry.
• Interest in strong personal relationship building with clients and internal teams.
• Experience or interest in emotional intelligence and emotional maturity.
• At least two years' experience as a creative coordinator or creative manager.
• Resilience, positive attitude, outgoing personality, and strong work ethic.
• Flexible schedule with ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
