The Buchwald Winter Internship Program is a 12 week program starting January, 2018. Interns will work on a part-time basis Mon, Wed, and Fri (10am-5pm) or Tue and Thu (10am-7pm) for the duration of the program. Overtime will not be permitted. This is a paid opportunity, and interns will be responsible for their own transportation and housing in Los Angeles. Interviews are held 12/12-12/18.
Position Overview:
An intern services the company across all departments. This includes, but is not limited to, sorting and delivering mail, and temporarily covering desks while agent assistants are absent. Required work also includes assistance on various internal departmental projects including Literary, Television, Commercials, Theatre and Digital departments. In addition, the intern will handle script and manuscript coverage for the Literary and Talent departments.
General Responsibilities:
• Script coverage
• Answering phones
• Covering reception and agent assistant desks
• Completing departmental projects
• Greeting visitors and validating parking
• Maintain inventory of office and grocery supplies
• Accepting and tracking deliveries
• Assisting with client self-tapes
• Help with screen capture and editing of self-tapes
• Calendar management of both conference rooms
• Assist the Operations Manager in supporting our creative staff
• Sorting and mailing fan mail
• Updating contacts, bookings and resumes on all platforms
Essential Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or under 1 year out of college)
• Must be organized, ambitious detail oriented and computer savy
• Must be able to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through
• Ability to handle a heavy volume of calls
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be an excellent multi-tasker and have proven problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks
• Must be friendly and have open demeanor with ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast paced, demanding environment
