Buchwald is looking to hire a Talent Coordinator in the Los Angeles office. Must be a current talent or literary coordinator or have 1-2 years of desk experience at a talent agency. Relationships with casting and mangers is a must. This is not an entry level position.
Job Description:
The Talent Coordinator will work closely with all talent agents to support talent outreach and communication. The coordinator will also act as a liaison between assistants and agents at staff meetings.
General Responsibilities:
• Update and modify TV, Studio and Independent grids
• Update information for executives, showrunners, producers and writers at studios and networks
• List updates include:
o Casting Executive List
o Studio Network List
o Facts on Pacts
o Production Executive List
o Series Regular List
o Festival Circuit Lists
o Client List
o TV & Feature Coverage List
o Independent Casting Coverage List
• Continuous IE updates within projects
• Preparing Pitch materials for Clients
• Updating and modifying decks
• General Development Research
• Attending to requests across all departments
• Coordinating meetings with internal and external individuals as requested
• Work closely with industry assistants to foster your network of contacts and build relationships
• Obtain scripts from industry colleagues
• Coordinate during staff meetings
• Take on coverage (independent features, new media, some network) to help ease the load of others
• Assist in interviewing and training new staff
• Help submit on projects
• Attend weekly agent meetings and input all agent updates into IE
• Contribute to talent outreach and communication
• Help with tracking and procuring appointments for specifically designated clients
• Track for projects-specific status updates
• Generate talent ideas for scripted projects
• Help train/mentor interns and assistants as needed
Essential Qualifications:
• Should have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Be comfortable dealing with a diverse variety of people on the telephone, e-mail and in person, in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Should be experienced meeting the needs of a high level Executive
• Ability to stay one step ahead in this fast-moving environment.
• Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines while demonstrating poise, resourcefulness and the highest level of professionalism.
