Summary
The Manager of Team Marketing will be responsible leading, developing and executing brand marketing strategies and in-game activations for the Brooklyn Nets. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Global Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops and implements strategic marketing plans to achieve annual sales goals;
• Works closely with Nets game presentation and operations staff to ensure all consumer facing marketing and brand elements are presented appropriately;
• Oversees, tracks and manages both the marketing and advertising budgets to ensure campaign initiatives are within the fiscally approved budgetary parameters;
• Collaborates with the sales team to create campaigns, focused overall customer acquisition, growing Season Ticket Member base, and STM retention;
• Plans an oversees advertising and promotional activities to include digital, paid social, email, earned media, TV, OOH, experiential, hand-to-hand, direct mail, and other channels with a focus on driving sales;
• Maintains consistent oversight and awareness of campaign results, and proactively takes corrective action, as needed, to optimize results;
• Possess a thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and the brand's competing strengths, weaknesses, and market position; evaluates trends and adjusts strategies;
• Liaises with Partnership Sales and Partnership Marketing to ensure the organizations' partners are supporting sales through internal and external partner distribution channels;
• Collaborates with the creative design team to ensure all creative assets properly reflect the brand and are consistent with sales objects;
• Collaborates with the Community Relations staff to support community initiatives;
• Collaborates with the Sponsorship team to create sponsorable team-related products and content;
• Works in tandem with the Game Presentation team to convey brand and promotional messaging, and other in-game activations;
• Develops and motivates team members;
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required;
• 5-7 years of Marketing Experience
• Sports and entertainment industry experience preferred;
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Demonstrates an understanding of all modern marketing channels, with a particular focus on digital media, social media, experiential, OOH, TV, connected TV, hand-to-hand, and other channels;
• Ability to manage and direct media buys with a focus on sales conversion;
• Understands customer data platforms and data management platforms, leveraging consumer data and CRM to direct targeted customer messaging;
• Proven success engaging with both the casual and committed sports fan;
• Familiar with content marketing strategy and able to leverage it for brand lift, awareness, and customer acquisition;
• Must be able to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional an affiliate teams;
• Keen attention to detail, strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills;
• Flexible and reliable standout colleague, always acting in the best interest of their department and the company as a whole
• Ability to create and maintain productive, positive relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a strong ability to manage one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives;
Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Work Environment
Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
