Full Time Job
Summary
The Director of Suite Services is responsible for leading all development and execution around renewal, service and sales strategy for our renowned Barclays Center suite business. The Director will elevate the client experience through extraordinary service and personalized experiences that continuously highlight the value of their suite investment and drive additional business and year over year renewals. Position reports directly to the Vice President of Premium Partnerships and participates in special projects/project team(s) as assigned, to support department objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead entire suite portfolio, including all sponsor related and premier suite accounts
• Develop, improve and renew suite relationships by exceeding and managing expectations of all contractual elements and providing opportunities for added value where possible
• Achieve and outpace yearly team and personal sales and renewal goals. Build yearly renewal plan and projected percentages and supervise arena suites expense budgets
• Cultivate creative ideas and opportunities to help grow the business of each account by keeping up-to-date with the goals, objectives and competition of each suite partner
• Provide unprecedented service and extraordinary level of responsiveness to all current and new suite holders, thoughtfully handling and resolving team and suite holder issues with a solutions oriented approach
• Build, develop and implement all benefits, services, programs and events for suite holders
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with suite clients outside of standard office hours during Nets games, concerts and off-site meetings and events
• Serve as subject matter expert and liaison to the broader organization including suite sales, ticket sales/service and corporate sponsorship departments to amplify revenue potential
Education
and/or Experience
• 6 years of client service, client relations or sponsorship experience with a suite or ticket sales department in professional sports or;
• 7-10 years of customer service, event marketing, media, sales or sponsorship experience with an organization outside of the sports industry with preferably 3 years of management experience
• Bachelor's degree required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Self-directed, deeply meticulous and organized with an ability to manage one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
• Truly excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills with a strong orientation towards relationship building and serving others
• Good decision-making skills, proven discernment and comfortable negotiating and selling premium inventory
• Keen attention to detail, strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills;
• Flexible and reliable standout colleague, always acting in the best interest of their department and the company as a whole
• Ability to create and maintain productive, positive relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a strong ability to manage one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives;
Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Work Environment
Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
