Director of Operations
Full Time - Exempt
Reports to: Vice President, Broadway in Boston
-Assist Vice President in executing all operational goals of Broadway In Boston's presenting and venue business, including, but not limited to financial, managerial, patron service, vendor, venue, partner relations, security, ticketing, and general operations.
-Advance all operational aspects of Broadway In Boston touring engagements with venues, vendors, and shows. Coordinate communication between all parties and Broadway In Boston staff.
-Provide operational support and guidance to Charles Playhouse staff and partners, working alongside Theater Manager, Box Office, and House Team.
-Compile, manage, and execute weekly engagement settlements for Broadway In Boston touring shows and assist and provide oversight of weekly venue settlements at the Charles Playhouse.
-Review show technical riders and liaise with venue production managers and show technical directors to create and update accurate engagement expense budgets.
-Prepare yearly pro-formas and update expense budgets for monthly forecasts and weekly flash reporting for Broadway engagements and the Charles Playhouse. Enter data in accounting software.
-Coordinate operational communication with Vice President, Ticketing, Guest Experience Departments, and Marketing and PR teams on customer service matters such as weather, traffic alerts, venue signage, and other operational communication needs.
-Work alongside Guest Experience Manager to ensure the best customer experience at each venue for every engagement.
-Coordinate with Ticketing Operations Manager and Guest Experience Manager on all ADA needs and ensure 100% compliance.
-Serve as main liaison between Broadway In Boston and venue staff for Broadway engagements.
-Serve as main liaison with show company managers on all operational details associated with each touring engagement.
-Oversee Broadway In Boston Office Manager to ensure all office and accounting needs are met.
-Work alongside Charles Playhouse Theater Manager to determine capital expenditure needs.
-Produce, execute, and manage yearly season launch event.
-Responsible for compliance on all company policies and procedures.
-Other duties as assigned by Vice President, Broadway In Boston.
Qualifications:
-College Degree in Business or Theatrical Arts with 6+ years of experience in theatrical presenting preferred.
-Knowledge of Theater Management and Labor Relations.
-Understanding of basic show settlement accounting.
-Experience with Ticketmaster, Archtics, and Audience View ticketing systems a plus.
-Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills required.
