Nonfat is looking for a seasoned Systems Administrator with experience maintaining and administering a Cisco network. A successful candidate will need to have an expert understanding of Cisco Firewalls and switches, TCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Active Directory and networking standards.
About The Role
In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and documentation cleanup of our current network, hardware, and other related systems. You will work on disaster recovery, and replication operations when necessary. You will also work closely with the current Administrator to architect new network solutions as time permits, and to correct the existing issues.
Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
Maintain, troubleshoot and administer Cisco ASA, Cisco and Nexus network switches and the related compute environments.
Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments should be made in order resolve hardware and other network and system problems.
Working with systems engineers, developers to resolve system issues.
Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
Experience, configuring and testing networking software, hardware, and operating system software
Support and maintenance of a VMware virtual server environment
Evaluate, support and maintain system performance
Qualifications/Requirements
Expert level understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, and hardware.
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices,
Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network systems.
Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
Ability and desire to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
