Writer, Non-Scripted

Break Media is seeking a Non-Scripted Writer. The ideal candidate should be a creative ideas person - someone smart, funny and who's a big fan of the internet, who's main focus will be on all on non-scripted programming (stunts, pranks, Wow ideas, reality based challenges, etc.) and is also capable of writing original scripted content when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help conceptualize Prank & Stunt ideas for programming
• Write up non-scripted set-ups and ideas for branded and original programming opportunities
• Help research and conceptualize episode ideas for non-scripted channels such as our Discovery aimed, AWEMe channel - including our hit Blacksmith series Man At Arms, and upcoming shows revolving around science, magic, camera tricks and WOW videos
• Scripting out beats and copy for reality style branded projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2-3 years experience working in journalism, writing, and/or new media
• Strong interest in comedy, pop culture and the internet in general - who is also capable of pinching in on writing original content when needed.
• Experience with writing, editing, and publishing of content online
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Deadline driven and results oriented
