Part Time Job
TITLE: PART TIME – Special Events Assistant, Fan & Youth Engagement
DEPARTMENT: Fan & Youth Engagement
REPORTS TO: Director, Fan and Youth Engagement and Coordinator, Fan & Youth Engagement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise Fan & Youth engagement staff , including customer service representatives and mascot staff
o Ensure that all employees have all necessary tools and supplies related to working events and for communication.
o Assist in the onboarding process for new hires and the training process for all new employees
o Ensure that communication for employees about events is clear and that all staff are prepared for events/games accordingly.
o Record and oversee training progress of each team member
o Schedule team members for events through SubItUp
• Assist in the coordination and daily operations of Game Days
• Oversee inventory of Kid Nation/Red Sox Nation items and inventory for uniforms
• Maintain the Slack channels for games/events
• Oversee weekend events and games
o On call on weekends to assist with events and appearances for games, Showcase, VR, Mascot
• Assist with special tasks where necessary
• Assist in the coordination and execution of major Fan & Youth Engagement events, such as Out of the Park, Little League Opening Day, Play Ball, etc.
• Coordinate sponsor activations and maintain a positive relationship with FSM and their clients
• Attend FPE Weekly Meetings and Road Trip meetings as necessary
• Develop leads and bookings for revenue generating events for Red Sox Showcase, Red Sox VR or Mascot
CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Management and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• General knowledge of baseball and the Red Sox preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours with weekend availability
