POSITION OVERVIEW:
Fenway Park Events (FPE) is responsible for the marketing, sales and service for all non-baseball events during the season and off-season. The Events Assistant provides support with onsite event execution/supervision. This is a high guest contact position; service skills, an eye for detail and outgoing friendly and gracious personality are a must. In preparation for events, the Events Assistant will attend planning calls/Zooms and/or site visits. In this role, you will develop a broad and comprehensive view of the non-baseball event business at Fenway Park. The role will work closely with department leadership, internal/external clients and partners. An eye for detail, excellent written/verbal communication skills, friendly and gracious personality are a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Onsite event support and supervision including overseeing event space preparation, greeting clients and vendors, load-in/setup, event execution, event close/load-out, as well as liaison with all operating departments.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and onsite personnel to ensure that event specifications are communicated and executed for a successful client/guest experience
• Regular checks with onsite operating departments for updates on overall operations and general feedback.
• Able to support and close multiple events at one time.
• Investigate, resolve and track client feedback, complaints, and recommended improvements.
• Solicit and summarize post-event follow up from clients.
• Participate in site visits and event coordination meetings, as necessary.
• As needed assistance in the day-to-day operation of the FPE team/office could include but are not limited to:
• Answer telephone calls professionally
• Assist with generating and processing contracts and invoices
• Prepare files and documents including reports for meetings for the team
• Perform any other reasonable duties/projects as required by members of the FPE team

• Prior customer service work experience within fast-paced, high-energy work environments preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Salesforce a plus.
• Must be able to work adjusted office hours and also have the flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays to execute events.
