POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Control Room Quality Assurance Assistant is an entry-level, seasonal position, responsible for monitoring all ballpark audio and video sources ensuring that all control room equipment is operating correctly during Red Sox games and special events at Fenway Park. Equipment includes Audio Console, Replay Controllers, Video Playback Servers, Character Generators, Studio Cameras and Camera Control Units. Potential to work all Red Sox home games and other Fenway Park events as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct a pre-event walkthrough each event day to confirm that all equipment is operating correctly
• Collaborate with all control room staff to verify that all equipment is functioning properly
• Work with the Chief Engineer to identify and troubleshoot issues throughout the ballpark
• Monitor all of the audio/visual outputs in the ballpark throughout the course of the event
CHARACTERISITICS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of any or all of the following equipment, Audio Consoles, Replay Controllers, Video Playback Servers, Character Generators, Studio Cameras, and Camera Control Units
• Experience in college or professional sports industry preferred but not required
• Demonstrates a passion for and knowledge of baseball
• Ability to work in a fast-faced environment with a high attention to detail
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year
