The Digital Platform Operator is responsible for preparation of content, metadata, and artwork for platform deliveries. In this role, the Digital Platform Operator will create content, metadata and artwork for platform deliveries and be heavily involved with workflow design, optimization and enhancement of proprietary tools to streamline digital media processes. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on digital media experience and is familiar with various digital platform specifications (eg - iTunes, Netflix, Microsoft Video, PlayStation, Prime Video, GooglePlay, etc.). The Digital Platform Operator works to maintain optimal efficiency, ensuring the highest levels of operational success at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Uses proprietary systems and tools to create and/or verify content, metadata and artwork as required for platform deliveries
- Applies knowledge of digital platform specifications and requirements to daily work
- Participates in design, planning, and implementation of proprietary automation technologies
- Assess quality, check for errors, and report severity of issues in digital video/audio assets
- Utilizes and regularly monitors proprietary workflow management system(s) to ensure customers' expectations are met
- Performs basic editorial functions to create previews, add bumpers, remove customer-directed material from supplied audio/video sources
- Problem solves and helps to drive issue resolution among customers and platforms
- Pro actively identifies areas of opportunity for process improvement and enhancement to tools and systems
- Effectively prioritizes project tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
- Effectively analyzes and communicates information in order to resolve issues and concerns as they arise
- Maintains a positive team relationship through both written and verbal communication, as well as accurately fulfilling needs and resolving problems accurately, on time, with high quality and a positive attitude
Requirements:
- 2+ years of technical experience working with digital media and metadata requirements for platforms
- Some programming experience (PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, JSon, etc.), experience working with ffmpeg and Linux OS a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Advanced knowledge of digital platform workflows, technical specifications, and concepts
- Advanced knowledge of film/video/audio concepts, such as resolution, frame rate, NTSC, PAL, HD, file formats, file codecs, etc.
- Excellent ability to interact in a clear and logical manner
- Fosters open communication; thoroughly qualified at expressing ideas and instructions in team environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong familiarity with computer systems with Windows and Mac OS
- Ability to prepare e-mails and professionally communicate both written and verbally
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to clearly and succinctly describe technical issues
- Ability to work in a self-directed and fast-paced work environment
- Requires keen attention to detail
- Must be self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision
- Superb organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
