Environment artists are responsible for creating the world of the story by means of modeling, texturing, propagation, set dressing and set extension. It is a cross discipline roll that also welcomes specialization. An artist can focus on a single area of interest, such as modeling or look, or see an asset through the pipeline from rough model, and materials to high res sculpt to propagation and set extension. Candidates are not expected to be proficient in all steps of the environment asset production to apply, but a multi-disciplined approach is encouraged. A working knowledge of Maya and/or Houdini is required. Zbrush/Mudbox, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and/or Speedtree are a big plus as well.
