Seeks Full Time Video Supervisor
We are seeking enthusiastic, team minded individuals to join our team at the New York show. We are a global entertainment company best known for the award-winning Blue Man Group show, performed in 15 countries and seen by more than 35 million people worldwide since 1991. A dynamic combination of music, comedy and technology, the show appeals to a broad range of age groups and cultural backgrounds. It is continually refreshed with new music, new stories, new instruments and new technology.
Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre is seeking an individual to join the Supervisory team. This position requires extensive knowledge of digital video equipment, video projection, video mixing, and professional playback, as well as the understanding of video, MIDI and some audio signal flow. QLAB experience is a plus. Candidates should be highly collaborative, proactive problem solvers who are able to inspire staff while multi-tasking within a busy work environment. Strong people management and technical skills required.
Responsibilities include: interface and collaborating with performers and crew; video crew management; scheduling; hiring and training; payroll; attending meetings; budgeting; troubleshooting and maintaining all video equipment within venue; and coordination with other departments. This position would also run 3 shows per week on the video track.
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience with video playback, live video switching and handheld camera work and projection within the entertainment industry. Flexibility and focus are required in our fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
This is a full-time hourly position that requires varying hours including nights, weekends & Holidays. Competitive Benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Life Insurance and 401K Plans.
