The Job
B/R is seeking a forward-thinking design leader to shape digital content experiences for a next generation sports fan. We are looking for a proactive individual with a holistic approach to building and evolving a contemporary digital brand across a wide range of work. The ideal candidate brings an open mind, a strong POV and a deep understanding of social/video consumption and the current youth culture landscape.
The Daily
• Uphold and evolve the look & feel for a design-forward, contemporary brand
• Guide a best-in-class digital design team across a wide range of design applications
• Deliver a differentiated and fresh POV at both the project and brand level
• Combine a holistic approach and impactful ideas with thoughtful design and craft
• Marry new digital/social video experiences with smart distribution packages
• Excite and inspire with an infectious curiosity and optimistic approach
• Hold high standards, seek continual improvement and offer consistent newness
• Participate in recruiting, hiring and maintaining a diverse team
The Essentials
• Strong digital portfolio of published/released design work
• 10+ years experience (2+ yrs of creative leadership preferred)
• Ability to extract the best from designers through critique, coaching, etc
• Deep understanding of digital/video landscape including new and emerging technologies
• Expertise in designing for social platforms - must understand the functionalities and nuances of FB, TW, IG, TIKTOK, YOUTUBE, TWITCH, and more
• Understanding of millennial and gen-z audience – in tune with social media trends, youth culture interests
• Collaborative team player who positions their team up for success
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to clearly articulate and pitch ideas to team, stakeholders and beyond
• Knowledge of sports culture a plus
