Blackmaled Productions is looking for a director of development. This person would be responsible for supporting the head of tv and film in all creative aspects of development, production and post. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience as an executive, is a self-starter and effective communicator, who can prioritize and manage a high-volume work flow.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage tv and film projects in various stages of development and production
• Produce creative notes documents on material including scripts, treatments, notes calls, as well as studio and network cuts
• Evaluate incoming submissions of available material or writing samples from senior executives for potential or existing tv/film projects
• Solicit and evaluate material for potential tv/film projects, as well as writing and / or director samples to identify emerging talent to the company for future or existing tv and film projects
• Generate writers/directors/cast list for tv and film projects
• Initiate general meetings to build and maintain relationships with managers, agents, executives and talent
• Track competitive development/programming in both tv and film
