We've created some of the most innovative and recognizable VR & CGI campaigns pushing creative and technical boundaries. With fully in-house capability from creative to post, we've flawlessly crafted some of the most complex projects for the largest global brand and agencies and along the way won most major advertising awards.
We are looking for a VFX supervisor (on and off set) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
VFX supervision on and off set of projects which ensures a smooth process in post.
Effectively communicate VFX needs on-set and work with crew members
Ensure everything is shot according to the project's needs
Work with directors and CG team to plan execution down to each fine detail.
Responsible management of projects and production teams
Must be able to work locally at our Los Angeles facility
Break down scripts
Attend scouts and prep meetings to discuss VFX needs with production, providing reference materials as needed
Coordinate with other departments such as props, SPFX and playback
Collect relevant information such as camera data, reference photography, and HDRIs for the artists
Advise on most effective ways to shoot, and best process for creating their ultimate vision
Conduct testing if needed for process that are innovative and have not yet been done
Briefs entire team on director's creative vision to enable artists to produce desired results
Requirements:
On-set and in studio supervision experience
Clear understanding of VFX methodologies, compositing, and CG
Compositing and tracking/roto ability is a big plus, understanding and knowledge is required.
Understanding of how decisions made on set affect post-production VFX
Highly motivated and passionate about the work
Passion and knowledge of the VFX industry
Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
Virtual reality experience is a plus
Thorough understanding of lighting and cameras
Exceptional Technical ability in order to troubleshoot problems
Able to demonstrate creative ways of thinking ensuring cutting edge work in our industry by leading the way by pushing the boundaries
Skills:
Ability to work well under pressure
Motivated and willing to take initiative
Attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile
Highly organized
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to multitask many details of a high paced workload, while maintaining a strategic and organized workflow
Skilled at time management, organization, meet deadlines and anticipate problems before they occur
Strong collaborative skills
Able to take direction but also proactive in making suggestions and finding solutions
Has a sense of duty and a keenness to learn the latest in the industry
Needs to have a strong and exceptional understanding of Directing/Lighting/Camera work/Practical Effects/Camera Gripping/Art /Modelling/Lighting/Animation/FX
