ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP: At a small company like ours, you'll have a lot more responsibility and hands-on work than you would at major corporations. Our producing interns assist with our producers on a variety of projects, typically in preproduction and production. There are potential opportunities to be on set if we are shooting a project in New York City, but this is not a onset/production internship. Without a bureaucratic corporate structure to navigate, you'll have a lot of room to grow and learn.
Our Spring internship runs from the beginning of Jan to end of April, requiring the commitment of 2 or 3 days/week. This is a part-time, unpaid internship. We do reimburse travel. We offer college credit, but it is not required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We're looking for well-rounded students interested in film and commercial production with a versatile set of skills to help with producing work. But most importantly, we're looking for good people. People who love to make stuff and have a fun time doing it.
ABOUT US: We're a creative team of writers, directors, cinematographers, editors, designers, animators, and producers. We've created national TV commercials, animated television shows, award winning films, and thousands of hours of web and branded content. We're obsessed with the moving image and have dedicated our lives to crafting stories that not only entertain audiences, but also solve strategic objectives. We have a growing client base, including Google, Nike, L'Oreal, Under Armour, Lancome, Chobani, Nike, Billboard, Seatgeek, Bombas, Bonobos, Oakley and many more. We draw our inspiration, and our name, from an old fashioned book bindery. A place where craftsmen came to work, rolled up their sleeves, and physically put stories together. They sharpened their skills through apprenticeships, and rigor, and repetition. Their craft, earned. Their product, something that would stand the test of time.
HOW TO APPLY: Submit your resume and cover letter to intern[at]binderynyc.com. Please include your GPA, days your available, and your anticipated start and end dates.
