The Big Ten Network (BTN) is searching for a Production Coordinator to join their team in Chicago. Reporting to the Manager of Remote Operations, this individual will handle assigned invoicing, event and resource scheduling, above-the-line and talent payroll, coordination of on-site safety plans, and will assist Coordinating Producers with above-the-line planning. The incumbent will be the Production Coordinator for all assigned events and will work directly with production, finance, business operations, and travel departments.
Responsibilities
• Collaborates with Remote Operations and Production departments on planning events
• As released, ensures the schedules for ATL are coordinated for events, on-site safety plans are set forth, and programming schedules are inputted into the Remote Operations Master Schedule - adapting plans according to changes in production plans
• Communicates with Executive Producer and Coordinating Producers on ATL scheduling, T/E events in concur, as well as crewing and payroll in FACTS
• Distributes all event sales cards and elements to Producers for all events
• Assigns and manages conference lines for all freelance producers, directors and talent
• Approves ATL / Talent Payroll - works with Finance on reporting actuals and receiving vendor invoices in a timely manner
• Produces crew sign out sheets for above-the-line for each event
• Reports all above-the-line and talent labor costs to finance by the given deadline - manages database for all above-the-line mileage and contact information
• Codes invoices and performs vendor on-boarding
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film/TV, Business or Broadcast Journalism preferred
• Great people and coordination skills are necessary
• Excellent financial acumen is needed
• Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills are must haves
• Ability to create Excel reports/spreadsheets is required
• Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced environment is very necessary
