Big Deal Music is giving new meaning to the term artist-driven. Since our company's creation in 2012, we have expanded to represent such artists as St. Vincent, Beach House, My Morning Jacket, Pavement, Sharon Van Etten, Cy Coleman, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Our writers have shares on recent songs from Shawn Mendes, Panic! At the Disco, Charlie Puth, Niall Horan, Maroon 5, Pitbull, John Legend, and many more.
The Film + TV department at Big Deal Music Group is looking for a capable and detail-oriented intern for the fall of 2018. Tasks will include updating our contacts database, tagging and evaluating songs, music research, film and television research, and various organizational/administrative tasks. The intern will assist on creative organization for servicings to music supervisors. Potential interns should have an interest in music publishing or creative licensing (i.e. music as it relates to film, television, video games, etc). This is not a paid internship.
• Excellent leadership, communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs
• Experience in the entertainment/media industry is beneficial
• Passionate about music as it relates to other media (film, television, video games, etc)
• College credit required
• Able to work 15 - 20 hours per week
• 3 month minimum commitment preferred
• Personal laptop required
• Dependable transportation required (preferably your own car)
