Full Time Job
Viacom is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Benefits responsible for supporting the compliance and administration of Viacom’s health and welfare and retirement plans. Additionally, the position is responsible for supporting benefits data integrity by managing data feeds between vendors and PeopleSoft, and acting as a liaison with Viacom's IT department (MTS).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Compliance and Administration of Benefit Plans:
Retirement Plans
• Perform annual 401(k) plan profit sharing contribution calculations.
• Perform annual 401(k) plan match true-up calculation.
• Provide documentation and respond to questions from external auditors in support of annual plan audit of the pension plan and 401(k) plan, and the corporate audit of the defined benefit plans.
• Liaison between recordkeeper and actuary on annual defined benefit plan actuarial valuation file.
• Analyze reports, validate records, research discrepancies, resolve issues and update records as necessary.
Health and Welfare Plan
• Research, resolve and respond to employee issues escalated to Benefits team.
• Act as primary contact for payroll provider and recordkeeper for all project-based employee benefits.
• Analyze reports, validate records, research discrepancies, resolve issues and update records as necessary.
• Perform validation and testing of ACA data from all vendors.
SOX Compliance
• Prepare annual compare of Pension benefits for SOX testing once valuation file is complete.
• Responsible for SOX compliance testing for Benefits/Payroll functions as assigned by Corporate SOX team. Work closely with Benefits Analyst to resolve complex pension calculations or 401K questions as needed
Benefits Data Integrity and Management:
• Oversee all Benefit deduction feeds (401(k), H&W, voluntary benefits, spending accounts, and transit benefits) from outside vendors to be uploaded to PeopleSoft system. Review weekly output reports and resolve any issues that arise.
• Primary Benefits liaison with Media Technology Services on all PeopleSoft related Benefits issues.
• Work alongside technical team to identify and troubleshoot problems as well as develop new procedures where needed.
• Create and monitor PHIRE tickets to correct defects in existing processes or to introduce new ones.
• Perform testing in UAT and other environments in connection with Benefits issues. Provide sign off to promote fixes to Production.
• Ensure data integrity between Viacom’s internal records (PeopleSoft) and all vendors is accurate and delivered in a timely manner (For both H&W and Retirement Plans).
• Prepare data files from payroll vendors for project-based employees to be uploaded to benefit vendor site.
Annual Enrollment/Year End Process:
• Participate in Client Acceptance Testing on vendor website for user experience to identify and catalogue any defects for Annual Enrollment.
• Perform end-to-end testing in PeopleSoft Year End environment for all Benefits. Troubleshoot issues and work with tech team to finalize updates for Production.
• Run year end stop process for all current year H&W, voluntary, and spending account deductions.
• Upload annual enrollment file for following year deductions.
• Manage data validation for excess 401k and bonus deferral annual enrollment and upload to PeopleSoft.
• Manage Year End Rollover process for 401(k) and Excess 401(Excess 401(k) Plans.
• Prepare custom deduction file for severance employees.
Special Projects:

Basic Qualifications
• 7-10 years related Benefits/HR experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with PeopleSoft

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple commitments and deadlines
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Access
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
