Full Time Job
VidCon, the world’s largest online video conference with events in California, Australia and London, is hiring a Creator Partnership Manager to work out of its office in Hollywood, CA. The Creator Partnership Manager will report to the VP, Operations and is responsible for developing and extending the relationship between VidCon and the top online video creators in the US, along with managers and agents, with a focus on Los Angeles-based creators and managers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing digital native talent, with deep connections in the online video community in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate should also have a strong passion and love of all genres of online video.
Specific Duties include:
• Build deep and mutually strong relationships with top US online digital video creators and their agents and managers
• Identify new and upcoming talent that should be included in VidCon’s talent roster
• Secure appearance commitments from top online digital video creators to appear at VidCon’s worldwide events
• Create bespoke white-glove travel and on-the-ground experiences for top talent (and their retinue) that have agreed to appear at VidCon
• Create year-round connections between top talent, managers and agents and VidCon
• Work closely with Viacom Digital Studios talent department to coordinate activities and share insights and strategies
• Create marketing strategies and techniques to improve VidCon’s standing and presence in the LA digital video community, and among top talent and their agents and managers
• Proven ability to spot up-and-coming talent
• Work alongside the Guest Team to assist in the process of securing talent
• Travel to necessary VidCon Events to assist the Guest Team with on-site talent management
• Ability to advocate for and on behalf of VIP talent relating to their VidCon guest experience
• All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
• Minimum2 years’ experience working with creators and/or talent either at a talent agency, management company, MCN or similar
• Ability to travel 10-20% required
• Hospitality or travel industry experience a plus
• Events experience a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to develop rapport and establish trust with creators, agents and managers
• Strong computer experience, specifically with CRM software, Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• In-depth knowledge of travel booking services
• Deep love of all aspects of online video
