Full Time Job
We’re looking for a dynamic, driven and savvy Creative Assistant with a knowledge, passion, curiosity and love of black culture to support what’s hot, what’s next and what matters at BET Networks. The Assistant will provide project and administrative support to the Brand Creative team. The team is responsible for the creative needs of all internal teams (Marketing, PR, Social, Events), curates BET's brand and how it is viewed by consumers.
Responsibilites:
• Help create presentation materials (pitch decks, presentations)
• Help curate and maintain Director/Photography/Vendor docs, meeting notes, project lists
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
• Manage VP’s/Director schedule and appointments
• Coordinate travel and manage expense reports for VP’s/Director
• Manage team/Dept PTO calendar.
• Coordinate team meetings and logistics (room scheduling, AV needs, catering,)
• Order office supplies
• Establish and maintain strong relationships within BET and with BET’s partners
• Establish and maintain strong understanding of the African American consumer & BET viewer
• Work closely with other BET departments to ensure inclusion of all key messages
• Understand promo development and use of software systems and department applications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience ideally in a Creative Services, On-Air Promos or Short Form Content departement but at least in production/project management, cable industry/entertainment marketing and/or branding. Strong internship experience alone will be considered.
Additional Qualifications
• Professional and confident style in dealing with all levels of staff (including very senior management) and 3rd parties
• Must have excellent communication skills including excellent email and telephone manner
• Must be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision
• Ability to research and source ad-hoc information independently
• Ability to plan and manage calendars for 2-3 executives simultaneously several months ahead of time
• Attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
