Search for Live Sound & Lighting Technician jobs in Los Angeles-CA
Seeking audio engineers and event technicians in or near the San Fernando Valley to join our tech team as an A2. Positions are freelance with the potential to be booked on a regular basis.
Events consist of live band productions at weddings, corporate events, and private parties throughout California, and occasionally out of state.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the A1 with loading of equipment to and from the company warehouse.
- Assist the A1 with setup of audio equipment including stage gear, input patching, and lighting fixtures.
- Act as monitor engineer for the band throughout event performance.
- Assist band and tech through the event timeline by managing program elements and sound at separate locations.
Basic qualifications:
- Understanding of basic live audio equipment and signal flow.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to our current methods.
- Flexible availability, particularly on Saturdays.
- Reliability and punctuality is a must.
- Strong communication skills to liaison between clients, planners, and performers as needed.
- Attentive and proactive demeanor - your job will never be to ''set it and forget it.''
Preferred applicants may have:
- Experience working with wireless (WiFi/RF management, system control via tablet).
- Experience in the wedding industry.
- Experience in live music and/or corporate audio.
