Part Time Unpaid Internship
Here at BarBHouse Productions we bring an indie film spirit to larger budget sci-fi, action, and horror films. We are a dedicated group of professionals that are passionate about the creative process and working together to tell stories!
BarBHouse Productions is currently looking for an administrative intern to join our team. While we are accepting remote applicants, preference will be given to New York local candidates as this role may ultimately transition to an in-person position. Professional experience is not necessary, but the ideal candidate must have drive, practical knowledge, and the ability to assist in a wide variety of tasks.
Critical reading and writing skills are both a must as you will likely be asked to do heavy script coverage and industry research. Interns will also join weekly staff meetings where they will get the opportunity to interact with everyone on the team. This is an ideal position to gain knowledge about the film industry.
Start - SEPTEMBER 2022 (or earlier), End - DECEMBER 2022
Please note: This internship is unpaid but we can offer academic credit if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily administrative tasks
- Meeting scheduling and calendar management for BarBHouse executives
- Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends in film/production
- Read scripts and write comprehensive coverage
- Manage and track the company's social media platforms and public mentions
- Attend weekly team meetings and record meeting note
- Building pitch decks
- Expected commitment of 10-20 hr/week or more if desired
Qualifications:
- Outstanding organizational and administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Strong writing, reading, grammatical skills
- General knowledge and interest in film/television
- Self-starter/time management skills since you'll be doing work on your own time
- Familiarity with mailchimp and social media platforms
- Must be detail-oriented and have a ''can-do'' attitude
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Slack, Google Suite/Excel/Word proficiency; Google Slides/PowerPoint proficiency required
