DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
MAIL ROOM –
• Assist Manager of Office Services in all daily functions.
• Collecting incoming mail and preparing mail for distribution
• Loads, unloads, and moves bulk mail and performs other duties related to mail processing.
• Log incoming Clubhouse packages and sends monthly report to MLB
• Monthly reporting of meter funds as well as department shipping (report to accounting)
• Stamping, opening, reading, sorting, and routing mail by hand or machine
• Verification that packages are addressed and marked correctly with postage and placed into correct bins
• Job may require lifting of heavy packages
• Practice Safe Mail Handling Procedures (http://www.osec.doc.gov/osy/PDF/SafeMailing.pdf)
• Ship out merchandise domestically and internationally
GENERAL OFFICE –
• Maintain and order office supplies including water and coffee for departments and breakrooms
• Communicate and coordinate with overnight cleaning staff regarding paper supplies and cleaning supplies
• Serve as liaison with cleaning contractor to ensure contract performance
• Conduct bi-weekly audits with the contractor
• Restock paper supplies and maintain inventory levels
RECYCLING COLLECTION –
• Weekly collection of office paper recycling throughout the Orioles offices
• Coordinate weekly pickup of recycling with the MD Stadium Authority
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Standard hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. Successful candidate must also be available to work some weekends during baseball season
• Must be able to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must have strong interpersonal skill to foster optimal relationships
• Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects
• Must have a positive attitude and enthusiasm
