Baha Productions is a film and television company with the mission to produce impactful, entertainment-driven movies and television series with global appeal.
Baha Productions seeks an Executive experienced in Production, Business Affairs and Operations to:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the company.
• Oversee all business matters in connection with the Company's feature and television projects from development through production and completion.
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate, in collaboration with Legal Counsel, a variety of transactions in connection with Company's feature and television projects, including agreements to engage above-the-line talent (writers, producers, directors and actors), financing agreements, co-production agreements, agreements to acquire underlying rights (books, articles, podcasts, etc.), production services agreements, etc.
• Draft, update, and manage templates for development and production agreements.
• Formulate financing strategies for various feature and television projects.
• Help prepare and review budgets and scheduling.
• Advise Company in connection with deal strategies, business and legal matters.
• Track and oversee document deliverables, invoice approvals, payments, option expirations, credit obligations, and other contractual obligations and deadlines.
• Oversee production of Company projects, including production planning, tax credits, locations, vendors, budgeting, scheduling, crew, etc.
• Advise on union and collective bargaining issues.
• Oversee Company hiring and management of staff.
• Maintain relationships with key agents, managers, and attorneys.
Qualifications:
7+ years working in feature and/or TV development and/or production.
Experience in negotiating and drafting all manner of contracts for film and TV development and production.
Familiarity with entertainment guild rules & regulations.
Extra Qualifications:
Experience working in a film or TV business affairs department and/or entertainment law firm.
Law degree, admitted to practice in the State of California
