Back Roads Entertainment is an unscripted TV production company in Austin TX founded by Colby Gaines, who co-created one of cable's longest running hit shows, Pawn Stars. Since our inception we've produced over 30 series, specials and pilots for MTV, Food Network, Amazon, Hulu, BET, Discovery and more! We're currently in production on a car restoration show and a family travel series.
We develop and produce unscripted TV shows across genres of food, home, comedy, game, competition and more. Our current projects have us working with high-profile superstars and pitching to every streamer, cable channel, and broadcast network there is.
Back Roads interns will be involved in every aspect of the field production process. We are looking for a go-getter personality that has a desire to learn field television production. Opportunities to work with state of the art equipment and get personal 1-on-1 training with industry professionals. Looking for candidates with a good attitude that are willing to help in any and all aspects of production. Looking for self starters who are not above any type of work to gain the opportunity to get hands on experience on location on a hit TV show.
RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for interns with a passion for television who are available a minimum of 16 hours a week. Applicants are REQUIRED to obtain school credit for this internship. Bonus points if you have an interest in car restoration. This internship will take place on-set in Midlothian, Texas.
