Back Roads Interns will be involved in Development & Casting. Interns will learn research and development techniques for unscripted projects, keep up to date on buzz-worthy news and trends and learn how to develop and pitch original formats to the creative team. Interns will also be integral to the process of finding the perfect talent for format-driven and talent-driven shows by helping in both researching specific populations and learning how to vet and interview potential talent.
Back Roads Interns will also be engaged in a weekly Master Class program to learn various steps and stages of development, and will pitch their own original ideas directly to the company's Founder and Head of Development.
We are looking for interns with a passion for television who are available a minimum of 2 days and up to 4 full days a week. Applicants are REQUIRED to obtain school credit for this internship. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and G Suite is preferred. Adobe Creative Suite and video editing is a plus.
The internship will start at the beginning of the Fall semester at both the Austin and LA offices.
