Are you fascinated with pop culture and everything social? Then we would love to have you join the Viacom team! AwesomenessTV is seeking a Production Coordinator and Host to support the Pop Culture producers in its programming department. This position will work closely with the Social Media Team to build timely and trending reports on YouTube & Instagram. An ideal candidate will bring experience and passion for pop culture, lifestyle, and digital drama all the while keeping up with online trends for a Gen Z media company.
• Work with Producers and Associate Producers on day-to-day production of short-form video segments
• Be current on important and popular pop culture news stories of the day and instinctually know what story is strongest for a younger audience
• Collect story assets and help with script writing to assure the story is in the right tone for the brand
• Help prepare set-up and take-down of camera equipment
• Host video segments
• Coordinate with writers & editors to make the most intriguing video possible
• Capture assets for daily show and for thumbnails
• Work with the channel manager to make a click worthy thumbnail for each video with a strong CTR
• Input metadata optimized for YouTube search
• Maintain several ongoing projects at once
• Give notes on videos and collaborate with editors in the editing process
• Assist in brainstorms and think of new pop culture show ideas
• Write or edit scripts for Daily Report & listicle evergreen videos
• Think of, write, and edit 7 memes a week
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 1 years' experience working in digital video production and entertainment industry
• Familiarity with and knowledge on how to operate a Canon DSLR
• Comfortable on screen personality that can read a teleprompter
• Experience with After Effects, Adobe Premiere and Photoshop is a strong plus
• Knowledge/experience with studio lighting
Additional Qualifications
• Possess excellent organizational, written and communication skills with the capability to work in a high volume, fast paced, always changing environment
• Familiar with Digital content, and have a good sense for comedy, story and pacing
• Consumes YouTube and social media content
• Be knowledgeable and up-to-date with the latest Pop Culture & Social Media trends
• Has the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Strong passion for digital entertainment news and pop culture
• Collaborative work ethic with ability to collaborate and adapt
