Job Summary:
Senior Recruiter leads the full recruitment lifecycle and talent acquisition for all hourly roles and other areas as needed. This includes screening applicants, interviews, selection and new hire on-boarding. Senior Recruiter develops the annual recruitment plan that includes hiring goals, sourcing, marketing, recruitment workflow tactics and contingency factors based on client drivers and business conditions. Senior Recruiter works with clients and key partners to ensure quality of hires through an understanding of the line of business, competencies and skills required for the roles, and employment law. Recruiters are responsible to develop strong team/peer, client and key partner relationships, demonstrates respect, value and appreciation for every applicant modeling Disney Guest Service standards (including the 4 keys and SERVICE model.). Additionally, the Senior Recruiter will also assist in casting operations and projects, including but not limited to: handling just in time business needs, candidate issues, hiring consultation, coaching and providing recruitment expertise, recruitment events and/or consultation tactics for displacements. Senior Recruiter handles sensitive candidate issues, real time procedural/system issues. Recruiter leads safety protocols and crisis situations depending on business need. They work with resort leaders in managing initiatives with the ability for refining practices and being a thoughtful business partner. Senior Recruiter is encouraged to utilize tools provided/available (Job Descriptions, employment records, input from team, Casting Leader and LOB managers) and leverage HR partners as necessary to validate decisions. Standard policies for transfers, rehires, re-casts are in place and guidance with individual situations/candidates is available as needed or requested. Ability to make decisions and take/give direction as needed is a critical function of this role.
Responsibilities:
• Lead full cycle recruitment which includes (but not limited to) screening, sourcing, interviewing, following up with candidates, making offers, etc.
• Work with internal clients and HR Business Partners as thought partners to actively build candidate pipelines, selection interviews by phone, video and in person; making recommendations on hiring decisions
• Timely follow-up with candidates post-interview to provide feedback, coaching, outcome
• Document interview and outcome and ensure all proper practices are adhered to
• Monitor positions and provide weekly and monthly recaps on progress
• Consistent and constant communication of new hire expectations and accountabilities
• Support participation in recruiting activities such as job fairs/events, off-site recruiting activities/events
• Partner with Workforce Management on hiring plan for updates, adjustments, client concerns or needs
• Subject matter expert in maintaining knowledge of positions through area training and leadership meetings
• Develop relationships with team, key clients and partners; Proactively communicate with internal and external clients as well as team members
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in a recruitment and/or HR function
• Disney Resort experience and/or hospitality industry experience highly preferred
• Experience screening, interviewing candidates and driving forward recruitment processes
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of Hawaii employment laws
• Strong Computer skills: MS Office, experience working in an Applicant Tracking System or related tools; ability to learn other systems
• Ability to build lasting relationships, collaborate and work effectively within cross-functional work teams
• Demonstrate the fundamental skills of project management
• Ability to make real time operations decisions and interface with cast, candidates, peers and clients
• Ability to deliver and accept constructive feedback; act as coach to develop and streamline practices
• Demonstrates problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to influence
• Ability to assess behaviors, skills and competencies for wide variety of roles
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong time management, effective follow up and organizational skills
• Detail oriented and comfortable with extensive data

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of recruiting experience is acceptable
