Full Time Job
Audacy is looking for a highly-motivated, creative, and versatile Associate Producer/Editor with experience in Graphic Design who can help amplify Audacy Sports’ growing video franchises. This candidate will be a visual problem solver and storyteller, while taking ideas from concept to execution stage on various platforms and mediums.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Senior Producer, Sports - this job will work closely with the Audacy Sports, 2400Sports & BetQL content team to develop audiences while ensuring final graphics, layouts, and data are visually appealing, checked for details, and on-brand. Specifically, you have a sharp instinct of what both passionate and more casual fans will engage with while collaborating with a team of content producers, developing new creative concepts and ensuring that the digital content is of the highest possible quality.
Top applicants will have a passion for storytelling with a background in graphic design, as well as video editing & copy-editing compelling video content in everything from traditional sports to the intersection of sports and culture. You thrive in a fast-paced, communication-driven team environment, and are on top of all of the latest sports news, including identifying social/Google trends.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Create motion graphics in After Effects, including but not limited to L3rds, Fullscreens, Transitions and other dynamic graphic elements.
• Gather key elements & assets while structuring video content for quick turnarounds.
• Adapt to changing trends and recommend best practices in collateral design.
• Test graphics across various media and gather feedback from stakeholders and other video team members on their performance.
• Create imagery and video for social use (infographics, posts, reels, digital shorts)
• Write & copy-edit headline copy in a style that is appealing for specific audiences (die-hard vs. casual sports fans) around top local/national sports news to capture listening opportunities in real-time
• No direct management requirements, but must be willing to work independently or in small groups, must have good time management skills.
Qualifications
More About You:
Required:
• BA or BS degree, 1-3 year’s experience in digital content for a sports media outlet.
• Portfolio of previous work (from freelancing, internship, school, or previous positions) required.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite ( Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)
• Work will include 2D motion graphics, but knowledge of 3D animation is a plus.
• Must have excellent writing skills, and the ability to drive engagement/growth for both local and national audiences.
• Has a working knowledge of licensing requirements, Getty, USAT, etc.
• Background in content creation, copywriting and collaborating in the social media space with a proven ability to conceive and produce highly engaging content.
• Extensive knowledge of the sports and sports-culture landscape required, as well as broader knowledge of all teams in the NFL/MLB/NBA
• Experience working with data API’s and/or dynamic graphics systems: Cyron, Vizrt, flowics, Tagboard is preferred but not required.
