The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club will be looking for passionate team players to participate in our 2018-2019 Trainee Program. The program is designed to give top candidates real-life experience in the sports and entertainment industry, in addition to providing educational and networking opportunities. Any qualified applicant who has a college degree with a Bachelors or Masters is eligible to apply for the Atlanta Hawks Trainee Program. Trainees may have additional game day/event responsibilities (depending on department assignments). Trainees are paid $13.50/hour and overtime if applicable. Trainees are benefit-eligible after 30 days (medical, dental, vision).
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Assist with department administrative duties
• Work to help gather information, write ups and pictures for client recaps
• Assist with all department special events
• Assist with unique experiences in the arena throughout the season during business hours
• Assist with photo documentation of specific out of arena assets such as in-store displays, point-of-sale, signage and branded items
• Assist Partnership Marketing team as needed with house ticket orders and ticket distribution
• Assist with gathering of merchandise and set-up/break down for autograph sessions
• Assist in managing inventory and proper storage of CP closet
• As requested receive loading dock packages and deliver to the desired location
• Assist with proper filing of existing and new partnership contracts
• Continuous industry research on current clients and competitors
Game Day
• Create all necessary credentials on a per-game basis (Concourse, Arena Floor, etc.)
• Assist as needed on game night responsibilities
• Meet clients at the arena for entry/activation purposes when needed if Partnership Marketing rep has multiple tasks happening at once
• On select nights, make visits to the partners activating a concourse table to ensure all needs are met
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Solid understanding of sports marketing and corporate partner activation
• Excellent organizational and communication (verbal & written) skills required; must be able to professionally interact with all levels of the organization
• Must have high level attention to details
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
