ROLE: Supports and enhances operations by managing special projects and operational tasks within the Parking and Security Departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for all staff parking permitting and logistics during dark days and event days at State Farm Arena
• Collaborate with internal departments and partners in order to maintain barcode distribution system within 24/7 Software, Guest List and ZIP Park to ensure that all staff parking needs are executed
• Execute all guest and media parking needs within Park Mobile to ensure that an adequate inventory and sales opportunities are maximized by providing all internal and external guests attending events at State Farm Arena and the Downtown Campus with parking availability
• Conduct audits and tracking of staff parking data for dark day and event day parking within 24/7 Software, Guest List and ZIP Park
• Assist Director, Traffic and Parking to ensure all Traffic Ambassador positions are properly trained and equipped to conduct pedestrian and vehicle traffic control for all internal and external guests of State Farm Arena
• Assist Director of Traffic and Parking in developing training opportunities for parking staff and ensuring all internal stakeholders are aware of our parking offerings and procedures
• Execute support for all credentialing needs for internal staff and partner staff during dark days and event days to include producing credentials, assigning proper access levels and ensuring that all team members receiving their proper credentials and are educate on all credential procedures for State Farm Arena
• Collaborate with internal departments and partners to obtain all credential requests in order to produce the proper credential and upload the system into our 24/7 Software, Guest List software for access control
• Develop, grow and lead a part time event staff with the responsibility of providing staff with the proper day passes and conduct bar code scanning within 24/7 Software, Guest List for entry to State Farm Arena
• Maintain records, schedules and charts to ensure proper and timely tracking of deliveries both received and sent
• Ensure all packages are properly scanned into the building, arrange for delivery and pick up, and organize all materials needing storage
• Communicate details with employees and vendors receiving freight or packages of what storage and pickup procedures are expected for incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Maintain appropriate and organized storage for the Loading Dock and Shipping and Receiving room for packages received for internal departments, concerts, special events and any other users
• Control loading dock bay access for all non-event and event days
• Conduct safety audits to identify practices which need immediate attention
• Develop techniques to improve working conditions, reduce costs and stay informed on matters which improve results
• Performs other Parking and Security duties as required or as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-4 Year college degree preferred
• 3 years' experience warehouse or shipping company
• Must poses a fork lift operator's card and be able to safely operate a forklift while assisting with freight deliveries
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong reflective listening skills.
• Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proven ability to deal with and resolve difficult situations involving customers and/or staff members
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Ability to interpret and/or convey a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, use of hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, sit for extended periods of time and climb stairs
• Position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Position requires the ability to work in environment with moderate to loud noise levels
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
